Procurement procedures in Implementing Agencies

UNEP

UNEP-DTIE identify suppliers according to their needs and then follow the appropriate administrative process in consultation with UNON.

The Procurement, Travel and Shipping Section of the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) is responsible for the procurement of goods for UNEP.

UNDP

UNDP procures goods and services through competitive solicitations.  The UNDP web site includes a section on procurement which comprises  information on solicitation procedures, procurement notices, conditions of contract, frequently asked questions and contacts.

UNIDO

The UNIDO procurement opportunities list  includes information on the Roster of Consulting Companies/Organizations and Vendors for projects to phase-out ozone depleting substances.

The World Bank

The World Banks' Procurement web site is divided into four main topics:
a) Information for Borrowers – a repository of information, documents, and guidance for government agencies responsible for implementing World Bank-financed projects.
b) Bidding/Consulting Opportunities – a portal for the business community seeking to participate in business opportunities that are generated from World Bank-financed projects.
c) Public Procurement – knowledge and information on public procurement systems.
d) Policies and Procedures – a listing of World Bank procurement policies and procedures.
