On 15 October 2016, the parties to the Montreal Protocol adopted the Kigali Amendment. A decade later, the Multilateral Fund has helped Article 5 countries turn their HFC phase-down commitments into action, with US$295.6 million invested across five bridges: readiness, implementation, efficiency, end-users, and lifecycle management. Each bridge closes a practical gap between a global agreement and what is happening on the ground, in the everyday reality of cooling: vaccines kept cold, food that does not spoil, and homes and workplaces protected during extreme heat.

See how the bridges were built. Explore the "Ten Years of Kigali" infographic to discover the gaps, the bridges, and the results. The infographic provides a snapshot of the Fund’s achievements on the ground.
