Following those clarifications, the Executive Committee decided:
- To approve the revised 2003 budget at an amount of US $3,770,650, the proposed 2004 budget at an amount of US $3,798,558, including staff salaries for the Secretariat, the revised staff component for 2005, and the proposed staff component for 2006, as contained in Annexes III and IV respectively to the present report; and
- To request the Secretariat to base future budgets on more realistic estimates and to provide explanations for any increases which exceeded the current rate of inflation.
