Decision 47/29

Following a discussion, the Executive Committee decided:

1. To commend the Government of Mexico and UNIDO for the successful implementation of the CFC production closure agreement and the permanent closure of the CFC production capacity at Quimobasicos;
2. To request the Government of Mexico and UNIDO to continue monitoring the CFC production closure at Quimobasicos between 2006 and 2009, as proposed in the 2006 annual work programme; and
3. To approve the 2006 work programme of the Mexican CFC production phase-out agreement at US $11,850,000, plus support costs of US $880,750 for UNIDO on the understanding that the Fund Secretariat would instruct the Treasurer to transfer the funds as soon as they became available.
