Following a discussion during which the funding tranches were revised and associated with performance‑based phase-out targets, the Executive Committee decided:
- To approve in principle the national methyl bromide phase-out plan for Viet Nam at a funding level of US $1,098,284, plus support costs of US $82,371 for the World Bank on the condition that the Government of Viet Nam would not seek further funding from the Multilateral Fund for the phase-out of controlled uses of methyl bromide;
- To approve the agreed conditions for phase-out of methyl bromide in Viet Nam as contained in Annex XIV to the present report; and
- To approve the first tranche for the project at the amount of US $230,000 plus agency support costs of US $17,250 for the World Bank.
