Decision 54/31

The Executive Committee decided:

1. To approve the national methyl bromide phase-out plan at a total amount in principle of US $9,222,379, plus agency support costs of US $897,291, to be implemented by the Governments of Canada, Italy and Spain and by UNIDO on the understanding that no more funding would be provided from the Multilateral Fund for the phase-out of controlled uses of methyl bromide in Mexico;
2. To approve the agreement between the Government of Mexico and the Executive Committee on the national methyl bromide phase-out plan contained in Annex XVII to the present report; and
3. To approve the first tranche of the project as follows:
   1. US $500,000 plus agency support costs of US $58,527 for the Government of Canada;
   2. US $1,000,000 plus agency support costs of US $120,000 for the Government of Italy; and
   3. US $2,000,000 plus agency support costs of US $150,000 for UNIDO.
