The Executive Committee decided:
- To note the final report on the pilot demonstration project on ODS waste management and disposal for Lebanon, submitted by UNIDO and contained in document UNEP/OzL.Pro/ExCom/86/21;
- To request the Government of Lebanon and UNIDO to submit a report at a future meeting of the Executive Committee providing information on the strengthening of the existing legislation related to ODS waste collection and disposal, a way of setting up ODS disposal infrastructure in the country, and the steps that had been taken to encourage the environmentally-sound collection and disposal of ODS waste in the country; and
- To invite bilateral and implementing agencies to take into account the report referred to in sub-paragraph (a), above, when assisting Article 5 countries in preparing similar projects in the future.
