Decision 86/28

The Executive Committee decided:

1. To note the report on the implementation of the HCFC phase-out management plan (HPMP) for Maldives, submitted by UNEP and contained in document UNEP/OzL.Pro/ExCom/86/21;
2. To note also the project completion report (PCR) for the demonstration project for HCFC‑free low-global-warning potential alternatives in refrigeration in the fisheries sector in Maldives submitted by UNDP, in line with decision 84/21; and
3. To approve, on an exceptional basis, owing to the delays imposed by the coronavirus disease pandemic, the request of the Government of Maldives to extend the completion date of the HPMP from 31 December 2020 to 30 June 2021, and to request UNEP to submit, no later than the 89th meeting, the PCR for the HPMP.
