The Executive Committee took note with appreciation of the report from the Treasurer and decided that the correspondence between the Treasurer and countries with contributions in arrears should be made available to the Executive Committee. If that procedure did not yield results, the Executive Committee would consider what further steps could be taken. The Executive Committee did not, however, have any objection to the publication of the list of outstanding contributions. The Chairman urged the nongovernmental organizations to play their role in informing the public regarding the "arrears" situation .
