The Executive Committee decided to approve the pilot project to maintain and enhance the energy efficiency of replacement technologies and equipment in the context of HFC phase-down (non-investment activities) on improving the minimum energy performance standards, and two demonstration pilot projects on introducing low-global-warming-potential alternatives for enhancing the energy efficiency of small stand-alone equipment used in the commercial refrigeration sector and on introducing leak detection systems in stationary refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump equipment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the amount of US $278,000, plus agency support costs of US $19,460, for UNIDO, noting:
- That the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina had committed to the conditions referred to in decision 91/65(b)(iv)b. to b(iv)d.;
- That the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina would enhance the standards and energy labelling for stationary refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump equipment upon the completion of the project; and
- That the project would be operationally completed no later than 31 December 2028, and that a detailed project report would be submitted to the Executive Committee within six months of the date of completion of the project, including a detailed description of the activities undertaken to disseminate the results of the technology demonstration and to promote the adoption of the selected energy-efficient alternative technologies.
