AGENDA ITEM 19: SECTOR PLAN FOR HALON PHASE-OUT IN CHINA

AGENDA ITEM 20: WIDER APPLICABILITY OF THE INITIAL GUIDANCE ON FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF THE HALON SECTOR APPROACH PILOT PROGRAMME
The Committee agreed to consider the above two items jointly. Noting that the Sub-Committee on Project Review had insufficient time to discuss the sector plan for halon phase-out in China and also noting the belief of one of the Sub-Committee members that there was a need for in-depth inter sessional discussions to enable the World Bank to further develop the proposal for consideration by the Executive Committee at its Twenty-third Meeting, the Executive Committee decided that the Sub-Committee on Project Review would meet in September 1997 and would spend time on the proposal to prepare for a decision by the Executive Committee at its Twenty-third Meeting.
