Having considered the comments and recommendations of the Sub-Committee on Project Review on retroactive compressor projects and, specifically, on the request by UNIDO for rectroactive funding for conversion of a compressor factory in China (UNEP/OzL.Pro/ExCom/27/13, paras. 17-19), the Executive Committee decided:
- That project proposals for retroactive funding should be submitted only when the factory concerned had converted all its production to non-CFC technology and destroyed the CFC‑12-specific equipment;
- To request the Government of China to prepare an information paper on the situation of the remaining compressor manufacturers in the country that were eligible for funding from the Multilateral Fund.
