On the basis of the comments, and given that final replies had not yet been received from all those consulted, the Executive Committee decided:
- To take note, with appreciation, of the efforts made by the Chair and to request that the consultations required by Executive Committee decision 42/48 continue; and
- To request the Secretariat to circulate to members of the Executive Committee the draft of the report intended for presentation to the Sixteenth Meeting of the Parties as requested in decision XV/48 of the Fifteenth Meeting of the Parties so as to enable members to submit their comments prior to that Meeting.
