Decision 44/45

Following a discussion, the Executive Committee decided:

1. To approve the change of the technologies in the project for the phase-out of methyl bromide for soil fumigation in tomato production in Morocco;
2. To approve the revised Agreement between the Government of Morocco and the Executive Committee as contained in Annex XIII to the present report; that would:
   1. Include a revised completion date of 2009;
   2. Reduce the overall cost approved in principle from US $3,957,844 to US $3,912,949;
3. To note that, in 2001, US $400,000 plus support costs of US $52,000 for UNIDO had been approved for the implementation of the tomato sector project as part of the overall methyl bromide phase-out project; and
4. To approve the balance of the first tranche of the revised project at the amount of US $607,513 plus support costs of US $45,563 for UNIDO.
