Decision 51/33

Following the introduction by the Secretariat, the Executive Committee decided:

1. To approve, in principle, the national phase-out plan for Annex A (Group I) substances (Phase II) for Zimbabwe, at the amount of US $565,000 plus agency support costs of US $72,150 for the Government of Germany;
2. To approve the agreement between the Government of Zimbabwe and the Executive Committee for the implementation of the phase-out plan as contained in Annex XII to the present report;
3. To urge the Government of Germany to take full account of the requirements of decisions 41/100 and 49/6 during the implementation of the phase-out plan; and
4. To approve the first tranche of Phase II of the phase-out plan at the level of funding indicated in Annex VII to the present report.
