Following the discussion, taking into account the completion of the project in the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRA/FOA/37/INV/152) and the cancellation of the project in the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya (LIB/FOA/32/INV/05), the Executive Committee decided:
- To note:
- With appreciation, the status reports on projects with implementation delays submitted to the Secretariat by the Governments of Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Portugal, and Sweden, and the four implementing agencies, and the 2006 progress report from the Government of Sweden addressed in document UNEP/OzL.Pro/ExCom/53/12;
- That the Secretariat and implementing agencies would take established actions according to the Secretariat’s assessments (progress, some progress, or no progress) and report to, and notify, governments and implementing agencies as required;
- The completion of eight of the 60 projects listed with implementation delays;
- That letters of possible cancellation should be sent in respect of the following projects:
