Taking into account the discussion held in connection with UNEP’s work programme amendments (see paragraphs 106-108), the Executive Committee decided:
- To remove the requests for project preparation for investment projects for HCFCs;
- To remove the requests for project preparation for HCFC phase-out management plans (HPMPs) from UNIDO’s 2008 work programme;
- That UNIDO could submit its request for preparatory funding for HPMPs to the 55th Meeting, and that those requests should include details on each of the components for the requested funding;
- To approve an advance of US $390,000, and US $29,250 in agency support costs, which represented 10 per cent of the total requests for project preparation for HPMPs submitted by UNIDO to the 54th Meeting; and
- That the amounts in sub-paragraph (d) above would be deducted from any amounts to be approved for future HPMP preparation requests.
