Decision 56/28

While there was no consensus to proceed with the project at the present Meeting, several Members felt that it was an important one and asked that the project be reconsidered at the 57^th Meeting of the Executive Committee. Following a discussion, the Executive Committee decided to defer consideration of the project for validation of the cost-effective use of locally-produced hydrocarbons as a refrigerant in refrigeration applications in Nigeria until its 57^th Meeting and to request UNDP to reformulate the project to take into account the views that had been expressed at the present Meeting, and the request for more information on the need for hydrocarbons.
