After having heard the report of the contact group, the Executive Committee decided to approve the sector plan for phase-out of CFC consumption in the MDI sector in China at a total cost of US $13.5 million plus agency support costs of US $1,012,500 for UNIDO, on the understanding that:
- The Government of China would have flexibility in using the funding available for eligible activities it deemed appropriate to achieve the complete phase-out of CFCs in the metered-dose inhaler (MDI) sector and in accordance with the relevant decisions and guidelines of the Fund; and
- That no more funding would be approved by the Executive Committee for the phase‑out of CFCs in China.
