Cost considerations surrounding financing HCFC phase-out including guidelines

Second-stage conversions and determination of the cut-off date for installation of HCFC-based manufacturing equipment

Following the report from the informal meeting, the Executive Committee decided:

  1. That the two Members proposing new approaches should submit information regarding their proposals to the Secretariat as soon as possible;
  2. To request the Secretariat to post the minutes of the informal meeting on HCFC phase‑out policy issues, and institutional strengthening, including the approaches proposed by the two members, on the Multilateral Fund Intranet by 10 April 2009, for comment by Executive Committee Members;
  3. To request Members to submit their comments on the posted document to the Secretariat, no later than 24 April 2009; and
  4. To further request the Secretariat to prepare a document compiling and analysing the new approaches proposed, and the intersessional comments from Members, for consideration by the Executive Committee at its 58th Meeting.
