Decision 57/38

Following the presentation, the Executive Committee decided:

1. To take note of the document on reconciliation of the 2006 and 2007 accounts as contained in document UNEP/OzL.Pro/ExCom/57/65;
2. To note that reconciliation of the 2006 and 2007 accounts had been completed for UNEP;
3. To note the return of the US $45,161 surplus for UNEP and to request the Treasurer to offset this amount against future transfers to UNEP;
4. To note the World Bank’s explanation on the shortfall of US $2,686,741 and to request the Treasurer to return US $1,176,270 to the World Bank;
5. To note that follow-up actions on the 2006-2007 reconciliation of the accounts exercise had been completed for UNDP, UNEP and UNIDO; and
6. That the 2006-2007 reconciliation of the accounts exercise is pending the following reports to be submitted to the 59^th Meeting:
   1. A report from the World Bank, on the amount of US $303; and
   2. A report from the Treasurer verifying that the amount of US $1,510,471 had been deducted twice from the transfers that had been made to the World Bank.
