Decision 63/41

The Executive Committee decided:

1. To approve, in principle, stage I of the HCFC phase-out management plan (HPMP) for the Republic of Moldova for the period 2011 to 2015, at the amount of US $88,000, plus agency support costs of US $7,920 for UNDP;
2. To note that the Government of the Republic of Moldova had agreed to establish an estimated baseline of 2.3 ODP tonnes as its starting point for sustained aggregate reduction in HCFC consumption, calculated using actual consumption of 1.2 ODP tonnes reported for 2009 and consumption of 3.4 ODP tonnes estimated for 2010;
3. To approve the draft Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Executive Committee for the reduction in consumption of HCFCs, as contained in Annex XXIII to the present report;
4. To request the Fund Secretariat, once the baseline data were known, to update Appendix 2-A to the Agreement to include the figures for maximum allowable consumption, and to notify the Executive Committee of the resulting change in the levels of maximum allowable consumption and of any potential related impact on the eligible funding level, with any adjustments needed being made when the next tranche was submitted; and
5. To approve the first tranche of stage I of the HPMP for the Republic of Moldova, and the corresponding implementation plan, at the amount of US $79,200, plus agency support costs of US $7,128 for UNDP.
