Decision 68/25

The Executive Committee decided:

1. To note:
   1. The progress report on the implementation of the first tranche of stage I of the HCFC phase-out management plan (HPMP) for Guatemala;
   2. That the Fund Secretariat had updated Appendix 2-A “The targets, and funding” of the Agreement between the Government of Guatemala and the Executive Committee, based on the changes requested by the Government to the funding levels associated with the second and third tranches, and that a new paragraph 16 had been added to indicate that the updated Agreement attached as Annex XII to the present report superseded that reached at the 64^th meeting;
2. To encourage the Government of Guatemala to consider issuing a ban on the import of HCFC-141b in bulk or in pre-blended polyols prior to completion of stage I of the HPMP;
3. To request UNIDO, as lead implementing agency, to report thereon to the Executive Committee when submitting subsequent tranche funding requests; and
4. To approve, on an exceptional basis, the second tranche of stage I of the HPMP for Guatemala, as contained in the revised Agreement, and the corresponding tranche implementation plan, at the funding level of US $97,925, plus agency support costs of US $7,344 for UNIDO.
