Decision 72/12

The Executive Committee decided:

1. To note the final report on the demonstration project for conversion from HCFC-22 technology to ammonia/CO2 technology in the manufacture of two-stage refrigeration systems for cold storage and freezing applications at Yantai Moon Group Co. Ltd. in China, implemented by UNDP, contained in document UNEP/OzL.Pro/ExCom/72/11/Add.1; and
2. To request bilateral and implementing agencies to consider the report on conversion from HCFC-22 technology to ammonia/CO2 technology in the manufacture of two‑stage refrigeration systems, together with information on other alternatives, when assisting Article 5 countries in preparing projects for the phase-out of HCFC-22 in cold storage and freezing applications with two-stage refrigeration systems.
