Following the discussions and clarification, the Executive Committee decided:
- To note with appreciation the submission by the Government of Brazil of a pilot ODS waste management and disposal project to destroy a total of 120 mt of ODS waste; and
- To approve the implementation of a pilot demonstration project for ODS waste disposal and management in Brazil in the amount of US $1,490,600, plus agency support costs of US $104,342 for UNDP, on the understanding that no further funds would be available for Brazil for any ODS disposal projects in future.
