The Executive Committee decided to approve the request for UNIDO’s component of project preparation of the HCFC phase-out management plan (stage II) for Qatar at the level of funding of US $40,000, plus agency support costs of US $2,800, on the understanding that, while the submission of stage II of the HPMP was expected to contain activities supposed to be funded by the Multilateral Fund, it would also include self-funded activities associated with voluntary reduction of eligibility agreed under stage I of the HPMP, to meet a reduction in HCFC consumption of at least 35 per cent by 2020.
