Following the recommendation of the contact group, the Executive Committee decided to approve the funding request for the preparation of a technology demonstration project to convert HFC-23 by-product to valuable organic halides by reaction with hydrogen and carbon dioxide for Liaocheng Fuer New Material Technology Ltd, in China, as contained in the UNDP work programme amendments for 2017.
