Decision 82/1

The Executive Committee decided:

1. To note the report of the Treasurer on the status of contributions and disbursements, the information on promissory notes, and the countries that had opted to use the fixed‑exchange-rate-mechanism during the 2018–2020 triennium, contained in Annex I to the present report;
2. To note with appreciation that the Government of Kazakhstan had started to pay its contributions to the Multilateral Fund from 2014 when the assessed contributions by Kazakhstan for the replenishment of the Multilateral Fund for the 2015–2017 triennium had been recorded for the first time, at the Twenty-Sixth Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol;
3. To note with appreciation, the discussions between the representatives of the Government of Azerbaijan and the Secretariat and the Treasurer and to invite that Government to commence contributions to the Multilateral Fund;
4. To note with appreciation, the discussions between the representatives of the Government of Israel and the Secretariat and the Treasurer and to invite that Government to commence contributions to the Multilateral Fund;
5. To note with appreciation, the discussions between the representatives of the Government of Ukraine and the Secretariat and the Treasurer and to invite that Government to continue its internal discussions with a view to commencing contributions to the Multilateral Fund;
6. To urge all Parties to pay their contributions to the Multilateral Fund in full and as early as possible;
7. To request the Treasurer to remove the 2001–2013 outstanding contributions of Kazakhstan from the accounts and the status of the Multilateral Fund without setting a precedent of removing from the report of the Treasurer on the status of contributions and disbursements or the accounts of the Fund the outstanding contributions to the Fund due from any other party; and
8. To request the Chief Officer and the Treasurer to continue following up with Parties that had outstanding contributions for one triennium or more, and to report back at the 83^rd meeting.
