Decision 85/34

The Executive Committee decided:

1. To note:
   1. The progress report on the implementation of the second tranche of stage I of the HCFC phase-out management plan (HPMP) for Guinea;
   2. That the revised starting point for sustained aggregate reduction in HCFC consumption was 7.51 ODP tonnes, estimated on the basis of the historical consumption included in the verification report submitted to the 85^th meeting;
   3. That the revised funding level for stage I of the HPMP for Guinea was US $332,500 plus agency support costs, in accordance with decision 60/44(f)(xii);
   4. That a deduction of US $117,000 had been applied to reflect the cancellation of the fourth and fifth tranches of stage I and that a deduction of US $197,500 would be applied when stage II of the HPMP was approved;
   5. That the Fund Secretariat had updated paragraph 1, Appendices 1-A, 2-A and 7-A of the Agreement between the Government of Guinea and the Executive Committee, based on the revised starting point and funding level, and that a new paragraph 16 had been added to indicate that the updated Agreement superseded that reached at the 66^th meeting, as contained in Annex XII to the present report;
2. To approve:
   1. The extension of stage I of the HPMP up to 31 July 2022, on the understanding that stage II of the HPMP would not be submitted earlier than 2022; and
   2. The third tranche of stage I of the HPMP for Guinea, and the corresponding 2020‑2022 tranche implementation plan, at the amount of US $246,750, consisting of US $100,000, plus agency support costs of US $13,000 for UNEP; and US $125,000, plus agency support costs of US $8,750 for UNIDO.
