The Executive Committee decided:
- To approve, in principle, stage I of the Kigali HFC implementation plan (KIP) for the Republic of Moldova for the period 2025–2029, to reduce HFC consumption by 10 per cent of the country’s baseline, in the amount of US $190,000, plus agency support costs of US $24,700, for UNEP;
- To note that, if the HFC consumption level for the Republic of Moldova for the year 2025 was above the Montreal Protocol control limits or the maximum allowable consumption in the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Executive Committee, on the understanding that the Government of the Republic of Moldova would continue to make every effort to meet those control limits, the Secretariat would inform and seek guidance from the Executive Committee on the procedure to follow in light of decision XXXV/16;
- To approve the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Executive Committee for the reduction in consumption of HFCs in accordance with stage I of the KIP, contained in annex XXVII to the present report; and
- To approve the first tranche of stage I of the KIP for the Republic of Moldova, and the corresponding tranche implementation plan, in the amount of US $95,500, plus agency support costs of US $12,415, for UNEP.
