Following the informal discussions, the Executive Committee decided:
- To note the progress report on the implementation of the work programmes associated with the fifth and final tranche of stage II of the HCFC phase-out management plan (HPMP) for the Islamic Republic of Iran, submitted by UNDP in line with decision 94/36 and contained in document UNEP/OzL.Pro/ExCom/97/18; and
- To approve, on an exceptional basis, the extension of the duration of stage II of the HPMP for the Islamic Republic of Iran to 30 June 2027, on the understanding that no further extension would be requested.
