The Executive Committee decided:
- To approve, in principle, stage I of the Kigali HFC implementation plan (KIP) for the United Republic of Tanzania for the period from 2025 to 2029 to reduce HFC consumption by 10 per cent of the country’s baseline, in the amount of US $192,100, consisting of US $106,000, plus agency support costs of US $13,780, for UNEP and US $64,000, plus agency support costs of US $8,320, for UNIDO;
- To note that, upon completion of the end-user project included in stage I of the KIP, UNIDO would submit a final report on the implementation of this project, including the HFC phase-out and energy-efficiency gains achieved, in line with decision 92/36(g);
- To approve the Agreement between the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Executive Committee for the reduction in consumption of HFCs in accordance with stage I of the KIP, contained in annex LVIII to the present report; and
- To approve the first tranche of stage I of the KIP for the United Republic of Tanzania, and the corresponding tranche implementation plan, in the amount of US $107,915, consisting of US $61,500, plus agency support costs of US $7,995, for UNEP and US $34,000, plus agency support costs of US $4,420, for UNIDO.
