Subsequently, the Executive Committee decided to approve the project to convert hermetic compressors at Fresh Compressor Factory to manufacture inverter compressor technology in Egypt, in the amount of US $1,255,250, plus agency support costs of US $87,868, for UNIDO, noting:
- That the Government of Egypt had committed to the conditions referred to in paragraphs 7 to 17 of document UNEP/OzL.Pro/ExCom/95/87;
- The commitment of Fresh Compressor Factory to manufacture only inverter compressors by the completion of the project;
- That the funding agreed for Fresh Compressor Factory, including agency support costs, would be allocated to the funding window approved under decision 94/60; and
- That the project would be operationally completed no later than 31 December 2028, and that a detailed project report would be submitted to the Executive Committee within six months of the date of completion of the project.
