The Executive Committee decided:
- To note the final reports on progress achieved in completing the second tranche of stage I of the HCFC phase-out management plan (HPMP) for Iraq (IRQ/PHA/74/INV/23), the first tranche of the national phase-out plan (IRQ/PHA/58/INV/09), and the project to replace refrigerant CFC-12 with isobutane and foam-blowing agent CFC-11 with cyclopentane in the manufacturing of domestic refrigerators and chest freezers at Light Industries Company (IRQ/REF/57/INV/07), as submitted by UNIDO and contained in document UNEP/OzL.Pro/ExCom/98/6; and
- To request UNIDO to submit the project completion reports for the projects IRQ/PHA/58/INV/09 and IRQ/REF/57/INV/07 prior to the 99th meeting to allow consideration of the UNIDO-implemented second tranche of stage II of the HPMP, in line with decision 87/40(c).
