In the absence of a consensus as to how the Indian proposal could best be handled, the Executive Committee agreed to request India to revise its paper to clarify the ambiguities mentioned by the Secretariat, bearing in mind the views expressed during the present discussion on how the issue should be dealt with and to resubmit it in good time with a request that the Executive Committee consider the revised paper at its next meeting and transmit it to the Open-ended Working Group meeting in July.
