36.     At its meeting, held on 18 December 1990, the Executive Committee took note with appreciation of the exchange of letters between Dr. M.K. Tolba, Executive Director of UNEP, and the Government of Canada, dated 17 December 1990, constituting an interim agreement between the United Nations and Canada concerning the legal status for the Fund Secretariat.
