Decision 50/16

The Executive Committee decided:

1. To note the document on bilateral cooperation (UNEP/OzL.Pro/ExCom/50/16);
2. To inform the Parties of the level of bilateral contributions that had been assigned to the contributions of Germany and Switzerland for 2007 during 2006, pursuant to decision 49/19(a); and
3. To defer the request for project preparation in Ethiopia until an official commitment to ratify the London Amendment to the Montreal Protocol was provided in writing, as required by decision 40/35.
4. To request the Treasurer to offset the costs of the bilateral projects approved at the 50^th Meeting, as follows:
   1. US $129,950 against Australia’s bilateral contribution for 2006;
   2. US $326,005 against the balance of Canada’s bilateral contribution for 2006;
   3. US $33,900 against the balance of France’s bilateral contribution for 2006;
   4. US $943,887 against the balance of Germany’s bilateral contribution for 2007; and
   5. US $400,024 against Switzerland’s bilateral contribution for 2006 and US $14,844 for 2007.
